John Calvin Jackson, 1031 North Frederick, 58 years old, died at a Veterans' Administration hospital in St. Louis about 8 Tuesday night. He had been a patient there and at another hospital since Aug. 12.
Born near Ste. Genevieve Jan. 23, 1907, Mr Jackson was married Jan. 7, 1962, to the former Miss Mary Ellis, who survives. He had lived here since 1952 and had farmed at McClure, Ill., until he retired 1 ½ years ago because of illness.
The body will arrive tonight at Haman's Funeral Home, where friends may call after noon Thursday. The Rev. Glenn Cummings will officiate at services there at 2 Saturday afternoon. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3838 will be in charge of burial rites at Russell Heights Cemetery.
