Rosemary "Mickey" Blade, 86, of Greenup IL passed away on August 30, 2014, at the Cumberland Rehab and Health Care Center in Greenup IL.
Mickey was born on September 21, 1927 in Hidalgo IL, the daughter of Carl Ted and Sarah Ruth (Carr) Marrs. She married Olin Blade on February 7, 1948. He preceded her in death on February 12, 2012.
Mickey was a homemaker and a farmer. She was a member of the Mt. Zion (Block) Church in rural Greenup IL.
Surviving are: three sons, Bob (Alene) Blade, Ray (Janet) Blade,and John Blade (fiance, Colleen Zulueta); a brother, Ted (Alice) Marrs; two sisters, June (Jack) Cook and Angela (Bill) Will; grandchildren, Ed (Marnie) Blade and Grant (Kelly) Cox; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Taylor Gregor, Mitchell Blade, Braydon and Corbin Cox; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 3:00pm on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup IL. Visitation was held from 1:00pm-3:00pm at the funeral home. Burial was in Block Cemetery, rural Greenup IL.
