GREENUP - Olin E. Blade, age 82, of rural Greenup, IL went to be with his Lord and Savior at 10:37 PM on February 12, 2012 at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield, IL. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Friday February 17, 2012 at the Mt. Zion (Block) Church on the Hazel Dell road. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 at the church. Burial will be in the Block cemetery. Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL is assisting the family. Olin was born on May 14, 1929 in rural Hidalgo, IL the son of John & Edna (Torbitt) Blade. He married Rosemary "Mickey" Marrs on February 7, 1948. Surviving is his wife of 64 years; Sons Bob wife Alene Blade of Greenup, Ray wife Janet Blade of Greenup and John Blade of Greenup and his fiancé Colleen Zulueta; Brothers Don wife Karen Blade of Greenup and Mel wife Emily Blade of Hidalgo; grandchildren Ed wife Marnie Blade of Greenup, Grant wife Kelly Cox of Montrose; great grandchildren Ashley & Taylor Gregor, Mitchell Blade and Bradon Cox and several nieces and nephews. Olin was preceded in death by his parents and two grandsons Fred and Ward Irby. Olin was owner of O & R Sales and Service and was also a farmer. He was a member of the Mt. Zion (Block) Church and I.O.O.F. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Mt. Zion (Block) Church
