In early 1946 Hilmar & Louise bought a ranch on Newport Road, north of Ballico in Merced County and across the road from the Turlock Munincipal Airport. In 1964, they sold the ranch and moved to Livingston in Merced County.

Miss Margaret Louise Bailey was united in marriage to Clarence Hilmar Blaine at a simply-appointed wedding at Crampton's Trading Post Sunday evening.
The ceremony was performed by Rev. Harry A. Kern, Uncle of the bride, before the stone fireplace about which were placed large basket bouquets of gladiell in pastel shades. Mendelssohn's wedding march was played by Mrs. Ruth Hale Gravea of Turlock and two violin selections. At Dawning and All For You were played by Rev. Harold E. Kuhale of Turlock, accompanied by Mrs. Graves.
The bride appeared in an informal gown of white silk crepe and carried a bouquet of gardenias and lilies of the valley. Her only attendant was her cousin, Miss Catherine Winslow, of Oakland. Miss Winslow wore a gown of tan georgette and carried a bouquet of gardenias.
The bridegroom was attended by Laurence Moore of Livingston. Prof. J. P. Wymer, Floyd Salisbury of Berkeley and Don Winton of Livingston were ushers.
Congratulations were extended the newlyweds by over 100 relatives and friends after which refreshments were served from long tables decorated with tall pink tapers in silver candelabra and with a large wedding cake as centerpiece. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine left Monday for Berkeley, where they will establish their home.
Mrs. Blaine is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Bailey and is a graduate of the Delhi Elementary School, Livingston High School and the College of the Pacific at Stockton, where she was a member of the A cappella choir and the Mu Phi Epsilon, a national honorary music sorority.
Blaine is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Blaine and is also a graduate of Livingston High School and is now a senior at the University of California at Berkeley.

BACKGROUND: Native of Vallejo. LIved in Modesto since 1984. Retired school teacher. Taught elementary school 13 years in Livingston. Charter member of Community Presbyterian Church of Delhi. Longtime trustee on Ballico Elementary School Board.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Hilmar, of Modesto. Three sons: Gordon, Douglas, and Stanley plus seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
