George J. Ardts, 72, of R. 3, Sheboygan Falls, died Sunday at St. Nicholas Hospital. Born April 17, 1904, in the Town of Lima, he was a son of John and Katherine Ardts. In 1946 he married Mary Mulvey. She died in May of 1961. On Sept. 8, 1962, he married Dorothy Carriveau Courtion at Sheboygan Falls. He was a mink farmer in Lima most of his adult life. Mr. Ardts was a member of St. George Catholic Church at Six Corners, the parish Holy Name Society, a life member of the Apostolate of Suffering, Kettle Moraine Mink Breeders Association and Emba Mink Breeders Association. He is survived by his widow; eight sisters, Mrs. Mary Haen, Mrs. Henry Federer, Mrs. Rose Parman, Mrs. Tom Steger, all of Sheboygan, Mrs. Louis Billman and Mrs. John Billman of Sheboygan Falls, Mrs. Emma Kurschiedt of rural Sheboygan Falls and Mrs. Edwin Meyer of Belgium. Two sisters preceded him in death. The funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. George Church, Rev. Eugene Winkler, pastor, celebrant. Brief family rites will be held at Gerend-Habermann Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
