Ruth Marie Lovern Moore, 64, of Blacksburg, died Thursday, February 23, 1995, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was born March 22, 1930 in Montgomery County to the late Paul Edward and Emma Crommer Lovern. She was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Slusher. She is survived by her husband, Woodrow (Woody) Moore, Blacksburg; three daughters and son-in-law, Barbara and John Stimpson, Long Shop, Shirley Moede and Brenda Moore, both of Blacksburg; two grandsons, Woodrow Thomas Moede and Jessie Ray Moede both of Blacksburg. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 1995, at the Bible Holiness Church, Christiansburg, with the Rev. Homer D. Sawyer officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. at the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. at the church.
