Woodrow Wilson Moore, (Woody), 76, of Blacksburg, left his earthly home on Wednesday, June 25, 1997, to be with the Lord. He was born in Montgomery County on July 23, 1920 to the late George and Annie Craighead Moore; and was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Lovern Moore. He is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara and John Stimpson of Longshop, Brenda Moore, and Shirley Moede, both of Blacksburg; two grandsons, Woodrow and Jessie Moeda, both of Blacksburg; a brother and sister-in-law, George and Marrianne Moore of Smiths, Ala. He retired from V.P.I. & S.U. in 1985. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 28, 1997, at 2 p.m. in the Bible Holiness Church, Christiansburg, with the Rev. Homer D. Sawyer officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. Friends may call any time after 1 p.m. Friday at the church and the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bible Holiness Church, Christiansburg. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
