Shirley Moore Moede, 63, of Blacksburg, died on Sunday, July 20, 2014, at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. She was born on June 28, 1951, to the late Woodrow Wilson and Ruth Lovern Moore and was also preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Ann Moore Stimpson and Brenda Lee Moore. Shirley retired from Virginia Tech in the library with 30 plus years of service. She is survived by two sons, Jesse Ray Moore and companion, John Allen, of Radford, and Woodrow "Woody" Moore and his wife, Marcy, of Blacksburg; brother-in-law, Johnny Stimpson, of Blacksburg; and cousin "sister," Connie Ratcliffe of Christiansburg. Graveside Services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg with the Rev. Gary McCoy officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening, July 22, 2014, at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg, Va., 540-552-3211
