OKLAHOMA CITY Joe Brett Reynolds died May 8, 2012. Father, husband, brother, athlete, accomplished lawyer and ferocious competitor. Joe always excelled. Kindness, generosity and goodwill were his hallmarks.

Joe was born in Oklahoma City on June 29, 1967. He was full of vigor, energy and action from the beginning and he never stopped enjoying life. He graduated from Moore High School in 1985, where he was 4A State Wrestling Champion in 1983 and 1985.

Joe graduated from The University of Oklahoma School of Business Administration in 1990 with a degree in Finance. While at OU, Joe was NCAA Wrestling Champion and a two-time All-American. He graduated from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1992 and was an accomplished and skilled defense lawyer. Joe worked tirelessly to defend his clients and handled every case with skill and compassion, for he truly cared about his clients and their needs.

Joe exemplified a life lived to the fullest extent. Above all else, he was an active, devoted and dedicated father and he prized time with his children. Their lives will forever be enriched by the time they spent with him. In spite of all his many accolades, Joe would tell you that his greatest accomplishment was the opportunity to be a father and a husband. He made it seem beautiful and effortless, because for Joe, it was.

Joe is survived by his wife Michele "Sheli" Reynolds, his sons Brett and Blake and his daughter Julia. His parents, Sharon Rose Reynolds and Joe Bills Reynolds predeceased Joe. He leaves behind his sisters, Shelly Reynolds, Reyna Reynolds and Jessica Reynolds. He is also survived by his brothers Joe Bills Reynolds II, Jonathan Reynolds, as well as his grandfather Enoch Roy Kimmel. Cassi Swoap Wood, Brett and Blake's mother also survives him. Joe will be missed by his in-laws Sharon "Sherrie" Ives, Jon Stone, Traci Stone and Tami Lake. Joe leaves family Jim, Vicki, Cory, Chris Houts and "Granny" Mildred Houts. Joe made a difference in many, many people's lives. Our world will be a slower, duller place without his light, his charm, his kindness, and his courage.
