JOHNSON, GENEVA RUTH - age 87 of Knoxville passed Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital. She was a member of West Lonsdale Baptist Church. Geneva retired from the University of Tennessee after 25 years of service. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years Paul Johnson, her parents Samuel and Mattie Braden; brothers Frank, Donald, Lyndsey and Ernest Braden. Survivors include children Gary Johnson, Paula (Stan) Hilton, Steven Johnson and David Johnson; grandchildren Jared and Landon Hilton, Ian Johnson and Ciara Johnson; brothers and sisters Frances Waddell, Mozella Wallace, Fred Braden, Clyde Braden and Janie Ealy; and special friends Susan and James Cotter and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 pm in the Lynnhurst/Greenwood Chapel. A graveside will follow at 4:00 pm in the Lynnhurst Cemetery.
