Donald L. Troup, age 75, of Acre Ave., Butler, Pennsylvania passed away in the Emergency Room of Butler Memorial Hospital at 10:24 a.m., Saturday, October 7, 2006.

Born in Numine, Pennsylvania on November 6, 1930 he was the son of the late Alvie M. Troup and Loretta Brocious.

Mr. Troup was a retired truck driver. He was of the protestant faith. He was veteran of the United States Army serving in Germany during the Korean War. He was a member of the Country Music Association and enjoyed hunting gardening and canning. He also was an avid baseball and football fan.

He is survived by his wife Janet Mae Kane Troup, two daughters, Mrs. Bob (Vicki) Jones of Sligo, Pennsylvania and Donna M. Bartos of New Castle, Pennsylvania, one grandson and eight step-grandchildren, three step-daughters, Mrs. Phil (Karen) DuRall of Goodyear, Arizona, Mrs. Ross (Cindy) Erlenbach of Princeton, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Michael (Sandy) Wardlow of Huntington Beach, California, two step-sons, Daniel Murincsak of Lake Forest, California and David Branson of Huntington Beach, California, two brothers, Paul Troup of West Sunbury, Pennsylvania and Herbert Troup of West Middlesex, Pennsylvania, three sisters, Mrs. Velma Miller and Mrs. Thelma Keeling both of Worthington, Pennsylvania, and Mrs. Pearl Kaufman of Salem, Ohio and also by a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Louella Maye Adams on October 10, 1985 and by one sister and three brothers.

Friends and family of Donald L. Troup will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001 on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral Services will be from the funeral home on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. with The Reverend David West of Graceway Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Herman Cemetery in Princeton, Pennsylvania.
