Harry Johnson, 96, of Allison, Iowa, passed away Monday, July 21, 2014, at his home in Allison, Iowa. He was born on July 4, 1918, in Mason City, Iowa, to George and Flossie (Berends) Johnson. Harry attended Jefferson Township School. He married Gertie Hinders in 1941 in Bethany, Missouri and then married Hanna Tjaden on March 2, 1968, in Greene, Iowa. Harry farmed his entire life. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Allison. Harry loved farming, fishing, driving around the country side and going to the sale barn. He is survived by his wife Hanna Johnson of Allison, daughters Judy Yokom of Janesville and Jenise (Larry) Westendorf of Allison, son Otto (Denise) Tjaden of Dumont, grandchildren Todd, Trevis, Billie, Leslie, Stacy, Scott, Tom and Luke, fourteen great-grandchildren, brothers Stauffer (Bendina) Johnson of Parkersburg, Fred (Christina) Johnson of Clarksville and Vern Johnson of Hampton, sisters Mildred Johnson of Parkersburg and Frances Johnson of Parkersburg, sister-in-law Adeline Johnson of Clarksville, along with many nieces and nephews. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Everett, John, George, Herbert, Lawrence and Alfred, sister Katie and son-in-law Robert Yokom.

Burial will take place in the Allison Cemetery.
