Born in Blundale, GA, she relocated to Savannah with her family in 1945. She married John L. Berry, Sr. on July 21, 1951. She was formerly of St. Paul's United Methodist Church prior to its closing in 2006 and most recently was an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She leaves behind her husband, John L. Berry, Sr.; two sons, John L. Berry, Jr.(Sharon) and Kevin G. Berry (Edith); two daughters, Sallie Berry-Willis and Susan Berry-Barkley (Jamie); 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
