Elroy Ben Reiswig, 81, Minot, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at his home.
Elroy was born on January 9, 1933, in Lincoln Valley, ND, the son of Ben and Minnie (Triebwasser) Reiswig. Elroy was baptized at Immanuel Baptist Church in Minot. He attended rural school and attended school in McClusky. Elroy entered the United States Navy on March 13, 1953. He was stationed in Cuba and the Virgin Islands and returned to United States where he served in the reserves in New Orleans, LA. Elroy was united in marriage to Viola Walker on July 31, 1955, in Turtle Lake. Elroy was honorably discharged on March 12, 1957. After his discharge he returned to McClusky where he farmed for two years and later moved to Minot where he worked for a gas station. Elroy went to work for Bridgeman Creamer as a driver, where he worked for over 31 years. Viola passed away on January 22, 2002. While working for Bridgeman Elroy also managed Jefferson Trailer Park and Fairview Lodge Motel. Elroy married Ruth Zietz on August 29, 2003, in Minot.
Elroy was a member of the Moose Lodge and the NW Polkateers.
