NEW OXFORD Mary K. (Baugher) Stambaugh, 99, died Saturday, June 28, 2014, at The Brethren Home Community. She was the wife of William G. Stambaugh, who died April 26, 1994.
Mary was born January 18, 1915, in New Oxford, the daughter of the late C. Warren and Katherine L. "Katie" (Myers) Baugher.
Mary was a 1934 graduate of New Oxford High School and a member of Lower Bermudian Lutheran Church in East Berlin. She taught Sunday School at Lower Bermudian and at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in York, attended Thompson Business School, and was formerly employed at York Machinery and Supply.
Mary is survived by a brother, Ervin R. Baugher of New Oxford; a sister, Mildred I. Dubs of Hanover; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Clair, John, and Harry Baugher. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2014, at 10 a.m. at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc., 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford, with her pastor, the Rev. Richard Olson, officiating. Burial will be in New Oxford Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m.
