Mrs. P. V. Bennett in Terrell
Terrell - Mrs. P. V. Bennett died at the family residence at 7:25 Sunday morning following a prolonged illness. The funeral service was held from the First Christian church at 2:30 Monday afternoon with Rev. W. P. Harmon conducting the service. Internment was made in Oakland Memorial Burial park.
Active pallbearers were S. F. Weatherford, George King, Dr. C. F. Hagins, T. S. Cummings, Ross Hardin, Charles Moreland, J. B. Bridges and L. L. Stockton. All friends and family were named as honorary pallbearers.
Native of Georgia
Mrs. Fannie Starnes Bennett was a native of Georgia, where she was born on May 26, 1875. The family settled near Forney' later moved to Dallas county where she married P. V. Bennett at Lawson in 1897. To this union five children were born. One child having died in infancy. She leaves the following survivors; Her husband, P. V. Bennett; three sons, Claude, Fred, and Floyd Bennett, and one daughter, Mrs. R. H. Thompson of Fort Worth; two grandchildren; four brothers, John, Marion, Jim and Homer Starnes, all of Dallas county; two sisters, Mrs. T. J. Huckabee of Terrell, and Mrs. Will Chambee of Orange, Ga.
