MRS. SCOGGINS

Mrs. Adell Agan Scoggins, 79, of 3521 Wax Road, Aragon, died Tuesday afternoon at a Rome hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Scoggins was born in Floyd County, Jan. 6, 1913, daughter of the late Wade and Beulah Chafin Agan. She was a homemaker and a member of the Flint Hill Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Friendship Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Griffin Scoggins, July 29, 1970.

Survivors include: three daughters, Mrs. Betty Yarbrough, Rockmart, Mrs. Martha Ann Jordan, McDonough, and Mrs. Carolyn Stephens, Aragon; two sons, Billy Joe Scoggins and Kenneth Scoggins, both of Aragon; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Brumbelow, Aragon, and Mrs. Virginia Ballinger, Smyrna; three brothers, Willard Agan, Harlin Agan, and Edwin Agan, all of Aragon; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon at Flint Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Spears, the Rev. Robert Akins and the Rev. Joe Spain officiating. Interment will be at Flint Hill Cemetery.
