William Wade Agan, 82, Aragon Rte. 1, died Friday night in a Rome hospital following a long illness.

Mr. Agan was born in Floyd County Jun. 5, 1891, son of the late Sim and Sarah Agan. He was a retired farmer and member of the Flint Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving are his widow, the former Miss Beulah Chafin of Aragon Rte. 1; three daughters, Mrs. Ethel Brumbelow and Mrs. Adell Scoggins, both of Aragon Rte. 1 and Mrs. Virginia Ballinger of Smyrna; five sons, Wills Agan of Rome, Willard Agan, Wallace Agan, Johnny Agan and Edwin Agan, all of Aragon Rte. 1; one sister Mrs. Edna Cantrell, Rockmart; two brothers, Charles Agan, Atlanta and Stanley Agan, Lithia Springs; 22 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. today in the Flint Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Robert Akins, Hugh Formby, Willard Wills and James Crane officiating. Interment will be in the Flint Hill Cemetery. The body is at the residence, Aragon Rte. 1.

Pallbearers are Don Agan, Mack Ballinger, Alfred Brumbelow, Wilburn Agan, Wayne Agan, Melvin Yarbrough, Kenneth Scoggins and Frank Folsom. Grandson will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Henderson-Frazier Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
