Funeral survives for Wallace Richard Agan will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Flint Hill Baptist Church. The Rev. Don Spears and the Rev. Robert Akins will officiate. Interment will be at Flint Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Agan, 64, of 359 Old Wax Road, Aragon, died Thursday morning in a Rome hospital. He was born in Floyd County, Sept. 15, 1922, the son of the late Wade Agan and Beulah Chaftin Agan. He was a life-long resident of the Flint Hill Community. He was self-employed as a building contractor for 35 years. He was also in the cattle farming industry. Mr. Agan was a life-long member and deacon of Flint Hill Baptist Church, where he was the teacher of the Cornerstone Sunday School Class and chairman of the building committee. He was a member of the Floyd County Cattleman Association. He was a veteran of World War II., having served in the Air Force and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 136 in Lindale.

Survivors include his wife, the former Katherine Akins who he was married Feb. 28, 1946; three daughters, Mrs. Janet Folsom, Mrs. June Stansell and Rita Brumbelow, all of Aragon; three brothers, Mr. Edwin Agan, Willard Agan and Harlin E. Agan, all of Aragon; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Brumbelow and Mrs. Adell Scoggins, both of Aragon, and Mrs. Virginia Ballinger, Smyrna; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
