Funeral of Mrs. Adelaide Gallagher
The funeral of Mrs. Adelaide Gallagher, wife of the late Patrick Gallagher, who died at her home Sunday afternoon following an illness of two days, took place Tuesday morning at 8:30 o'clock from St Patrick's Catholic church with a Solemn High Mass with Rev G H Tragressor. pastor was celebrant. Rev. A. Scarpali, pastor of St. Gabriel's church, Barton was deacon and Rev. John Smith, pastor of St. Peter's Catholic church, Westernport was sub-deacon. Rev Tragesser delivered a must touching eulogy. The floral tributes were beautiful and numerous and the funeral was attended by a large number of friends. As the cortege left the church, Face to Face was sung by Miss Mildred McNamee. Interment was made in St Patrick's cemetery. The pallbearers were; Harry Pitzer, Henry Mullaney, Casper Williamson, Charles P McNamee, Charles Noonan, Francis Herbert, Robert Williamson and Michael Murray. Among those from out of town who attended there funeral were: Mr and Mrs David Williamson and daughter, Bessie, Clarksburg, W Va; Mrs Anna Byrd, Grafton, W Va; Casper Williamson, Galloway, W Va; Robert Williamson, Wendel, W Va; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gallagher, Trafford, Pa; Dr Edward O'Connor, Portage, Pa; John Kane, Washington, D.C.; Mr and Mrs John Dobbie, Lonaconing; Mr and Mrs Archibald Meerbaugh, Carlos Junction, Md; Harry Pitzer; Jos Healy; Mr and Mrs William Arnold; Miss Cecelia Small; Joseph Carabine; Miss Marie McVoge; Mr and Mrs Fermin Doerner and Robert McVoge, Cumberland.
