A lifetime resident of Alton, she was born January 27, 1889, and was a member of the United Church of Christ, Alton. Her husband, George F. Yost, preceded her in death in January 1961.
Surviving are four sons, Fred, Edward and Herman, all of Alton, and George of Wood River; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Mrs. Yetta Penning, Mrs. Elizabeth Doerr, Mrs. Margaret Lewis and Mrs. Mildred Curry, all of Alton.
