Aaron was born about 1860 in Danesmoor, Derbyshire and was thus in his early 20s when he died. He was a son of Henry & Ann Beeson. Aaron grew up with his family in the Danesmoor/Clay Cross area and lived near the Greyhound Pub. His siblings included John, Samuel, Miriam, Bertha Ann, Mary & Elizabeth. Aaron was a coal miner, as was his father and his two brothers. Aaron was killed, aged 23, in an accident at the Park House Pit in Clay Cross while employed there as a loader. His father Henry and his brother John were also killed in the same accident, an explosion that killed 45 men and boys.
