Mrs. Janet T. Fries, 77, died Saturday evening at a Mound City Nursing Home.

She was born Nov. 25, 1898, the daughter of Alexander and Christina Sellers Thomson, in the Fairfax community and spent her entire life in Dale Township.

Mrs. Fries was a member of the Pleasant View Presbyterian Church in rural Holt County where she was secretary-treasurer of the Women's Circle for 50 years. She was the widow of Fred Fries. She was a member of the Dale View Garden Club and the Atchison County Chorus.

Survivors include a foster son, Harold Browning, Mound City, four brothers, Joseph Thomson, Maitland, Mo., Thomas Thomson, Adrain, Minn., Lee D. Thomson, Mound City and William D. Thomson, Maryville, Mo, and four sisters, Mrs. Joe Tyson, Maryville, Mrs. Ann Sifers, Mrs. Ira Dice and Mrs. Marian Froman, all of Cameron, MO.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Pleasant View Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Clarence Smith will officiate.
Burial will be in New Liberty Cemetery. Mrs. Fries is at the Schooler mortuary, Fairfax, Mo.
