In the 1880 census Hiram and his family were living in Amboy Twp., Hillsdale County, Michigan. He was listed as Hiram Culler, a farmer, age 37 born in Ohio, his wife Mary Culler age 36 born in Ohio, and their children listed were, Calvin Culler, age 13 born in Michigan, Belle Culler, age 10 born in Michigan, and May Culler age 8 born in Michigan.
According to the Kansas State census records taken March 1, 1895, Hiram and his family were living in Valley Twp., Pratt County, Kansas. He was listed as H. Culler a farmer, age 51, and his wife, M. E. Culler, age 51, both born in Ohio. Their children listed as, A. L. Culler, age 14 born in Michigan, and M. Culler, age 10 born in Kansas. It also stated the family moved from Michigan to Kansas.
(Note: The children listed above were born to Mary Elizabeth and her first husband, Robert H. Cary or Carey, and are incorrectly listed in the censuses as Culler).
In the 1900 census Hiram was living in Allen County, Kansas. Hiram was listed as a day laborer, age 57 born April 1843 in Ohio, his wife Mary E. Culler age 56 born July 1843 in Ohio, their daughter, Millie Culler, age 16 born July 1883 in Kansas.
In the 1910 census records Hiram and his wife were living in Ada County, Orchard Twp., Idaho. Hiram was 67 & Lizzie was 76 years old. Also their granddaughter, Lois Kellogg, age 14 born in Kansas, was living with them.
This next letter came out of Hiram's brother Abraham Civil War Pension files.

State of KANSAS county of PRATT: In the matter of Original Invalid Claim No. 495218 ABRAHAM CULLER Co. M. 3" Reg Ohio Cavalry Volunteer
On this 20 day of MARCH A.D. 1890, personally appeared before me, a NOTARY PUBLIC in and for the aforesaid county, duly authorized to administer oaths, HIRAM CULLER age 46 years, a resident of CAIRO, county of Pratt, and STATE of KANSAS, well known to me to be reputable and entitled to credit, and who, being duly sworn, declared in relation to aforesaid case as follows: I HIRAM CULLER have personal Knowledge of claimant deafness, I was a member of his regiment company, and one of his mess mates at the time CLAIMANT had a gathering in his head, which caused total deafness of his right ear. We were camped near NASHVILLE TENNESSEE in 1862 I can not give the exact dates of days or months. I further state that the CLAIMANT while marching through Tennessee contracted RHEUMATISM in 1862 I personally know that claimant was afflicted with both deafness and rheumatism up to the year 1876 since which time I have not seen him.

This next was in The Buckeye State News, Lisbon, Ohio, Thursday, November 24, 1898.
Hiram Culler, of Iola, Kansas, has been for the past week or so in and about Elkton, looking over the scenes of his early days, after an absence of twenty-three years. He is a veteran of the Civil War, having served an enlistment in the Sixty-seventh Pennsylvania Infantry, and also in the Third Ohio Cavalry.
His obituary in the Idaho Statesman, Boise, Idaho, Tuesday, November 22, 1910.
Hiram Culler died Sunday evening, aged 62 years, death resulting from dropsy. The funeral will be held from the family residence near the Holcomb school Tuesday at 1 o'clock. Rev. Henry Quickenden will officiated and interment will be at Morris Hill Cemetery.
His death notice in the Idaho Statesman, Boise, Idaho, Sunday, November 27, 1910.
