'Arnold' was the son of Otha & Quillie(Winn) Mize. Arnold was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Vaughn Mize. He was a farmer and long time member & deacon of the Holly Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents and first wife, he was also preceded in death by an infant son, Gary Dale Mize; daughter, Dianne Mize Brown; eight brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Pulliam Osley Mize; children, Debbie (Dan) Holcomb of Baldwin, GA, Darlene (Michael) Bartlett of Evans, GA, Donna (Billy) Dixon of Cleveland, GA, Dennis (Marie) Mize of Dewy Rose, GA & Dr. David (Barbara) Mize of Elberton, GA; step-daughter, Kathy Osley Bond of Hartwell, GA; thirteen grandchildren & eight great-grandchildren & two more on the way.
Funeral services are on Monday, May 19, 2014, at the Holly Springs Baptist Church in Bowman, GA with the Rev. Edward Sayer and Rev. Scott Mize officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday evening.
