A funeral Mass for Richard E. Alt, 66, of Leipsic, will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic, the Rev. John Joseph officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery with military rites.
Visitation will be held from 2-9 p.m. today at Love Funeral Home, Leipsic, where a Scripture service will be held at 8:30 p.m.
Mr. Alt died at 5:42 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.
He was born Jan. 24, 1936, in Leipsic to Henry and Luella (Ricker) Alt. He married Nancy Fortman, and they divorced.
Surviving are a son, Nathan of Ottawa; two daughters, Mrs. Dan (Angela) Reinhart, Toledo; and Mrs. Michael (Amy) Alt-Coan, Bellevue; two grandchildren; five brothers, John of Alger, Mich.; William of Gahana; Bernard of Avilla, Ind.; Robert of Leipsic; and Kenneth of Temperence, Mich.; and two sisters, Viola Topp, Leipsic; and Ghnelda Schimmoeller, Fort Jennings.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel; and a stepsister, Frances Alt.
Mr. Alt retired in 1995 as a plant electrician for Harris Corp., Findlay, after 33 years.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

RICHARD E. ALT, 66, Findlay, formerly of Leipsic, died at 5:42 p.m. May 15, 2002, at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.
He was born Jan. 24, 1936, in Leipsic to Henry and Luella Ricker Alt, who
preceded him in death. He had been married to Nancy Fortman. His special friend, Rose Marian Otto, survives.
Mr. Alt retired in 1995 as plant electrician from Harris Corp., Findlay, after
33 years. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors also include a son, Nathan (Heather) Alt of Ottawa; two daughters, Angela (Dan) Reinhart of Toledo and Dr. Amy (Michael) Alt-Coan of Bellevue; five brothers, John (Josephine) Alt of Alger, Mich., William (Dorothy) Alt of Gahana, Bernard (Dorothy) Alt of Avilla, Ind., Robert (Carolyn) Alt of Leipsic and Kenneth Alt of Temperance, Mich.; two sisters, Viola Topp of Leipsic and Ghnelda Schimmoeller of Fort Jennings; and two grandchildren.
