LaVee was born to William Orson and Mary Ellen "Nellie" Barker Bawden on October 11, 1929.

She married her high school sweetheart, Dean Cannon, on April 6, 1947 in Elko, Nevada; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

She was the family peacemaker. She had a beautiful voice and liked to sing. She was very artistic doing ceramics, winning many ribbons at the fairs. She enjoyed bowling with the Granger Lady Lions organization. She played the piano by ear and was a gifted poet. She was a worker in the Jordan River Temple. She enjoyed life and her family even as her health and eyesight was failing.

She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-six years; daughters, Kathy (Rulon) Swensen, Connie Harton, Deanne (Guy) Knudsen, and Jodi (Roger) Livingston; thirteen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; all her siblings; daughter, Gloria; son-in-law, Steven Harton; and "adopted" British daughter, Jackie Holbein.

Our family would like to thank Brighton Hospice for the compassionate service given to Mom, especially Megan and Janet.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 12:00 noon in the Granger Ward Chapel, 3835 South 2850 West, where viewings will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and prior to the services on Saturday from 11:00-11:45 a.m.
