Paul E. Wilmot, 62, 804 North Second St., Apollo, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, at 11:30 a.m. in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. He had been in poor health for the last year.
He was born may 23, 1919, in Oklahoma Borough, the son of John and Daisy Blystone Wilmot.
He was employed by Wean United, Vandergrift, as a blacksmith for 39 years before retiring in 1981.
He was a resident of Apollo all of his adult life.
He was a resident of World War II, having served with the United States Army.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Apollo; and United Steel Workers of America.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Bee Wilmot; one daughter, Mrs. Oscar (Romayne) Cejudo, Dallas, Tex.; four grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. John (Helen) Baylor, Leechburg; and one brother, Charles Wilmot, Creekside.
He was preceded in death by a son, William B. Wilmot, in 1970; and by three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call form 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, Wednesday, and from 11 a.m. to time of service at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Gary P. Curran Funeral Home, 322 North Second St., Apollo.
Services will be conducted by his pastor, the Rev. Michael Maleski.
Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
