Ada A. Bonaventure, a resident of Baton Rouge, died at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, at Heritage House Nursing Home. She was 95 and a native of Pointe Coupee Parish.

Survived by two daughters, Mary Clydia Weldon and Shirley Childress and her husband, Charles O. Childress; a sister, Lillian Armato; a sister-in-law, Ida Andre; four grandchildren, Kay Herrin and husband Billy, Lee Rice, Jonnie Childress and wife Barbara and Conrad Childress and wife Gloria; 10 great-grandchildren, Wade Herrin, Wendy Gaddis and husband Don, Jill Pero, Kevin Rice, Terry Rice, Gregory Childress, Amy Childress, Alan Childress, Katie Childress and John Charles Childress; five great-great-grandchildren, Jennifer Pero, Courtney Rice, Zachary Rice, Nicholas Rice and Kelsey Richer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by husband, Joseph Cherie Bonaventure Jr.; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Andre; four sisters and four brothers.
