Died 7:15 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, 1986, at her residence in Glynn. She was 79, and a native of Chenal. Visiting at Niland's Funeral Home, New Roads, 8 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lakeland, 10 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Tom Duhe. Burial in church cemetery. Survived by two daughters, Marie Louise Breaud, Glynn, and Barbara Ann Zajac, North Little Rock, Ark.; a son, Joseph Albert Blanchard Jr., Glynn; three sisters, Ada Bonaventure, Baton Rouge, Bessie Blanchard and Lillian Armato, both of Jarreau; a brother, Theo Andre, Jarreau; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephew. Preceded in death by husband, Joseph A. Blanchard Sr.; and parents,Mr. and Mrs. Dave Andre. Pallbearers will be Sammy Blanchard, Charles, Stanley and Mark Zajac, David and Joey Breaud. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
