Mrs. Louis Rustad, 90, a pioneer resident of the Nasonville community, who lived with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Muir, 1107 E. Doege street, died there at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Hansen Funeral Home with the Rev. F. H. Giles, pastor of the Marshfield Bible Center, officiating. Burial will be made in the Nasonville cemetery.
The body will repose at the Hansen Funeral Home from this afternoon to the time of services.
Mrs. Rustad, the former Bertha Louisa Paulina Barth, was born Feb. 24, 1861, in Breslau, Germany. At the age of eight she came to Wisconsin with her parents, who lived in Calumet County for seven years before settling on a farm a mile west of the original Nason settlement.
She was married on June 22, 1883, to Louis Rustad at Nasonville. After their marriage they moved to the Town of Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. Rustad observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1933. Eleven years ago she came to Marshfield to make her home with her daughter. Mr. Rustad died April 7, 1934.
Mrs. Rustad is survived by the daughter, Mrs. Calvin (Calpurnia) Muir, Marshfield; and a son, Maurice Rustad, Delavan; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
A son, Merritt, and two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
