The Rev. Virgil E. Taylor, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, will conduct services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hansen Chapel for Maurice E. Rustad, 85, of 404 W. Fifth St., Marshfield, who died early Sunday at his home.
Burial will be made in Yolo cemetery at Chili.
Friends may call at the Hansen Chapel from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. today (Monday) and until time of services on Tuesday.
Mr. Rustad was born Feb. 2, 1889, and educated at Nasonville, town of Lincoln, where he also operated a farm. He then was employed as a cheesemaker in various places prior to service as a chef in Alaska, the Aleutian Islands, CCC camps, and Wisconsin Dells. He returned to Marshfield 10 years ago.
His marriage to the former Ila Ruth Fraser took place June 14, 1915, in Chili. She preceded him in death in November, 1933.
Survivors include three sons, Carrol, route 1, Marshfield, Keith, Wisconsin Rapids, and Guy, Marshfield; a daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Thelma) Frey, Marshfield; a sister, Mrs. Calvin (Calpurnia) Muir, Park Falls; 22 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, a brother preceded him in death.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
