Hays -- Mary Wasinger, 96, Hays, died Wednesday, April 22, 1992, at the Hays Good Samaritan Center.

Mrs. Wasinger was born Mary Wittman on Aug. 7, 1895, at Gorham and was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a homemaker and a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

Her husband, Nick, died in 1983.

Survivors include two sons, Virgil of Hays and Edwin of Buffalo Grove, Ill.; four daughters, Georgina Sander of Hays, Leona Sander of Victoria, Marcella Berens of Russell and Bernita Degenhardt of Great Bend; 2 sisters, Lidwina Graf and Catherine Dreiling, both of Victoria; 27 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; 12 step great-grandchildren; and four step great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays, the Rev. Don Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. A parish vigil will be at 8 p.m. Friday at the Hays Memorial Chapel.

Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Center. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 20th and Pine, Hays, 67601.
