Mrs. Fitzpatrick passed away at 9:50 p.m., April 22, 2014 at Tri County Care Center in Vandalia.
She was born May 5, 1924 in rural Vandalia, the daughter of Samuel and Elsie Wasinger Watson.
She was married to Charles Marion (Bill) Fitzpatrick on April 15, 1941 in Hannibal and he survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Charles Nicholas (LeAnn) Fitzpatrick of Holts Summit and Rickie Raymon (Shirley) Fitzpatrick of Charleston, South Carolina; one daughter-in-law, Jeannie Fitzpatrick of Vandalia; two brothers, Henry (Kathy) Watson of Curryville, and Albert (Donna) Watson of Vandalia; three sisters, Annie Ford of Hannibal, Viola Hilt of Illinois, and Melba Hamilton of Farber; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son Sam Fitzpatrick; and two sisters, Helen Gilbert and Josephine Miller.
Mrs. Fitzpatrick was lifetime area resident and homemaker. She was a member of Hayes Creek Christian Church. She loved quilting, painting, doll collecting, and working on crafts.
Pallbearers will be Wade Fitzpatrick, Travis Fitzpatrick, Lyle Fitzpatrick, Brandy Holt, Shannon Fitzpatrick, Kelly Fitzpatrick, and Shawn Fitzpatrick.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hayes Creek Cemetery, in care of Mike Potter, 28001 Hwy. F, Vandalia, Mo. 63382.
