Mrs. Gertrude Smith died at Menorah Medical Center, having lived in the local area since 1965. She was a clerical worker and a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Van Brunt congregation. Mrs. Smith was survived by two daughters, Mrs. Kathaleen Tuey of Kansas City and Mrs. Phillis Osborne of Shosoni, Wyoming; and three brothers Rondel L. Murrow, Cambridge, IA., David Leroy Ammons, Horton, Kan., and Wendell Ammons, Douglas, WY. She was also survived by four sisters, Mrs. Mary Skelton, Bisbee, AZ., Mrs. Alice Durham, Montrose, Colo., Mrs. Lillie Foster, Renton, Wash., and Mrs. Wilda Woodall, Miles City, Mont.

Gertrude married Richard Smith on 28 May 1951 in Yankton, South Dakota and they remained married until his untimely death as a result of a heart attack. They had no children together and lived most of their married life in the area of Encampment, Wyoming. She had one known step-child, Richard's daughter, Mrs. Helen M. Smith Rolfe.
