Funeral services for Mr. Zoder Hebert, 84, were held at 10 a.m. today in Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas with burial in Bellevue Memorial Park. The Rev. Angelo Cremaldi conducted the services.

Mr. Hebert, a resident of Opelousas, died at 1:55 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at his residence. He was retired from the pharmaceutical wholesale business and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include: his wife, Mary Lou Bergeron Hebert of Opelousas; two sons, Judge Donald Hebert and his wife Paula, and Ray Hebert, both of Opelousas; a daughter, Deanie Hebert Ryder and her husband Mike of Fredericksburg, Va.; a daughter-in-law, Anne Hebert of Opelousas wife of his late son Reggie; two brothers, Joseph Hebert of Opelousas and Jean Baptiste (J.B.) Hebert of Washington; two sisters, Clothilde H. Emond of Leonville and Burl H. Fitzgerald of Lafayette; 11 grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren.

Mr. Hebert was preceded in death by a son, Reggie Hebert; his parents, Jean Baptiste and Clothilde Richard Hebert; three brothers, Joseph Olivier Hebert, Arthur Davis and Joseph Eugene Hebert; and six sisters, Melanie H. Edmond, Onezamia Hebert, Eliza Hebert, Theresa Gorney, Edolia H. Lanclos and Celestine H. Lanclos.

Visiting hours were observed from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. today until time of services. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home on the Old Sunset Road in Opelousas was in charge of arrangements.
