Pioneer Resident Dies at Abernathy
ABERNATHY March 4 Mrs. John H. Brown, 84 South Plains pioneer and long time resident of Abernathy, died at 12:20 a. m. today at her home after being in ill health for several years.
Funeral services for Mrs. Brown will be conducted at 2:30 p.m.Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Abernathy with the Rev. E. S. Weathers, Plainview, and the Rev. Frank Nix, retired Lubbock minister, officiating..
Burial will be in the Abernathy Cemetery with Sanders Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Leola Goldston, Abernathy, and Mrs. R. S. Beard, Beaumont; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
