Ruby S. Baily, 76, of 202 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 1968, in Uniontown Hospital, after a long illness. A son of Eli F. and Mary Adamson Baily, he was born March 7, 1891, at Carmichaels, where he resided all his life. Prior to his retirement in 1956, he was employed by the Buckeye Coal Company at the preparation plant of it's Nemacolin Mine. Mr. Baily was a member of the Carmichaels Chapel of the Greene Valley United Presbyterian Church; was a member for 34 years of the Carmichaels and Cumberland Township Volunteer Fire Company, and belonged to Nemacolin Local 6290 United Mine Workers of America. He is survived by his wife, Florence Crago Baily, whom he married in 1914; three grandchildren: Debbie, Craig and Bill Baily , of Carmichaels, and one sister, Miss Anna Baily of Carmichaels. Two sons, Hugh and James; three brothers and one sister are deceased. Funeral services were held Wednesday with burial in Laurel Point Cemetery.
