Miss Anna L. Baily, 86, of Carmichaels, R.D. 1, died at 10:45 p.m., Wednesday, April 8, 1970, in Greene County Memorial Hosptial, following a brief illness. She was born July 23, 1883, at Carmichaels, a daughter of Eli F. and Mary Adamson Baily. A lifelong resident of the Camichaels area, Miss Baily was employed for many years as a telephone operator at Carmichaels and the L.T. Laidley General Store.
She was a member of the Carmichaels Chapel of the Greene Valley United Presbyterian Church and Carmichaels Grange 1389. Surviving are three nieces: Mrs. Allan (Louise) Kerr of Carmichaels; Mrs. Edward (Jane) Walchock of East Millsboro; and Mrs. Wayne (Alice) Keener of Boalsburg; three nephews: Joseph Stanley of Herminie; Fred and Irwin, both of East Millsboro. She was the last of her family. Funeral services were held Saturday with burial in Laurel Point Cemetery.
