She was also active in the American Legion Auxiliary and was the "Mother of the Year" in West Jordan. She loved gardening, quilting and writing letters. She was known to the neighborhood children as "Grandma" and loved her family and all she met. Ida Blake Westwood died June 19, 1990, in American Fork, Utah. She was 90 years old.
