The funeral for Rosa Lee Poole Rowland, 79, of Aiken, who died in an Aiken Co. Hospital after a short illness, was held at Aiken Church of God. Burial was in Sunset Memory Gardens. A native of Burke Co., GA, Mrs. Rowland had lived in Aiken Co. since 1941. She was a daughter of the late Samuel T. and Sarah Chalker Poole. She was a member of the Aiken Church of God. (Note: According to her son's death certificate, she was born in Glascock Co.) Surviving are her husband, Benjamin Franklin Rowland; daughters: Mrs. S. L. Gunter of Aiken, Miss Katherine Rowland of Aiken and Mrs. George W. Puckett of Charlotte; sister, Mrs. Asenth Attaway of Augusta; brothers, Outler Poole of Tennille, GA and O.M. Poole of New Smyrna Beach, FL; and granddaughter, Tammy Gunter.
