Margie H. Bird, 92, of Harrisonburg Health and Rehabilitation Center and formerly of Hightown, died Saturday Jan. 8, 2005. She was born Nov. 14, 1912 in Hightown, a daughter of the late Henry Morgan and Sarah Ettie Rexrode Hevener. Mrs. Bird was a homemaker and a member of Hightown United Methodist Church. On Jan. 18, 1941, she married James Clinton Bird, who preceded her in death on Sept. 21, 1994. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Henry and Ludmila Bird of Harrisonburg and Steve and Ann Bird of Dayton; a grandson, James Daniel Bird; a step-granddaughter, Melanie Zecher and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service was conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 11 at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell by the Rev. Andre Crummett. Burial was in the Hightown Cemetery.
