Walter D. Crogan, 90, passed away peacefully Friday, February 21, 2014, at his daughter's home in Delta, Ohio.
He was the husband of the late Lillian Burnell Crogan.
Born October 8, 1923, in Troy, he was the son of the late Andrew J. and Ruby Fonda Crogan. A lifelong resident of Watervliet, he was a graduate of Watervliet High School. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army in Europe, where he received a Purple Heart.
He was employed at the former Bendix Corporation (later Allied Signal Corp.) in Green Island for 40 years as the tool crib attendant, retiring in 1988.
Walter was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Watervliet since birth. He was a former trustee and elder of the church. He recently received the honor of being installed as an Elder Emeritus, a person who has dedicated their life to serving the Lord.
His ashes will be interred at Memory Gardens in Colonie.
