Funeral services for Ethelle B. Pierce, 81, of Winnsboro were held Monday at Riser First National Funeral Home Chapel in Winnsboro with the Rev. Charles Davis and the Rev. Raymond Beard officiating.
Interment followed in Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Riser First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mrs. Pierce died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999 at Franklin Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Teddy C. Pierce; two brothers, C. J. Buchan and Elvin Buchan; a sister, Rosa Mae Parker; and two sons-in-law, Walt Davis and Pete Robertson.
Survivors include her 11 children, Julia McAlister and husband, Kenneth, Coolidge, Texas; Martha Stevens and husband, Carey, Crowville; Betty Peters and husband, Kenneth, Jerry C. Pierce and wife, Martha, all of Winnsboro; Shirley Ann Davis, Haughton; Joy Pekar and husband, August, Katy, Texas; Pauline Robertson, Stonewall; Barbara Bland and husband, Donny, Missouri City, Texas; Ruby Lupo and husband Tommy, Haughton; Patsy Hammons and husband, Larry; Evelyn Holloway and husband, "Little", all of Delhi; one brother, Ezra Buchan and wife, Lucille, Crowville; 24 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
