Funeral services for Mr. Ezra F. Buchan will be held Friday, July 11, 2003 at 10 AM at First Baptist Church in Crowville with Rev. Carl Gulde, Rev. Jimmy Harper, and Rev. Marion Collier officiating at the service and Rev. Francis Williams and Rev. Larry Eubanks will officiate at the graveside service at Crowville Masonic Cemetery.

Mr. Buchan was a faithful member of Crowville First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and deacon emertis. Mr. Buchan loved his church and continued to be faithful by watching the church service by tape provided by the church and the tape ministry.

Mr. Buchan was an avid sportsman and enjoyed deer hunting with his daughter, son-in-law, son and grandsons. He loved watching his grandsons play ball. He was a wonderful gardener and always had a garden to supply everyone. He was known to grow wonderful peaches and tomatoes.

Mr. Buchan is preceded in death by his parents Gaines and Rosie Buchan and his youngest daughter Sue Buchan Hendricks.

Survivors include his loving wife of 69 years: Lucille Buchan; three daughters: Nell B. Graham and husband Clyde, Wardna B. Dunham and husband Sonny and Ms. Vonette Buchan; two sons: Daniel Buchan and wife Diana, Billy Buchan and wife Joyce; and a sister-in-law: Inez Buchan.

Grandchildren that blessed his life are Kim B. Jackson, Linda G. McGrew, Pam B. Maxwell, Gary Dunham, Lynn Buchan, Polly B. Searcy, Cindy B. Jones, David Dunham, Summer Hendricks Greer, Beth Ann Branco, Chris and David Hendricks.

A host of great grandchildren: Keith and Adam McGrew, Blake Wheeler, Samantha Maxwell, Dustin Dunham, Curtis and Ben Beavers, Megan Jackson, Blake and Haden Searcy.

Pallbearers will be deacons of the church and honorary pallbearers will be Vernon McManus, Orin Murry, Rev. Bill Western, and grandsons and great grandsons.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed and his memory cherished by his family.
