News has been received in Urbana of the death of "Grandpa" Downing a resident of Ogden's pioneers and would have been 94 years old on the 11th of August. He died at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.

Wm. Downing an aged and respected citizen of our village, died at the home of his son, Nelson Downing at the age of 94 years. The funeral was held at the M. E. Church conducted by Rev. Gilmore of Fithian. The interment was at the Patterson cemetery. He leaves three sons and several grandchildren to mourn his loss.
