Deceased Name: Virgil Lee Hagerman
PRINCETON — Virgil Lee Hagerman, age 70, of Pigeon Creek Road, Princeton, passed away Friday, Aug. 31, 2012 at his home. Born July 11, 1942 at Jolo, W.Va., he was the son of the late John Richard and Hettie Mae Vance Hagerman.
Virgil was a timberman and had worked in the coal mines. He was a member of the Goodwins Chapel Church, and loved to hunt and fish.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, John Russell Hagerman and a daughter, Hope Hagerman; two brothers, Joe and James Hagerman; sister, Rosie Hagerman; father-in-law, Keith Dale Thomas.
Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Donna Hagerman; three daughters, Sandi Lester of Bluefield, Arlean Perricllia of Richlands, Va., and Genni Rebekah Hagerman of Richmond, Va.; five grandsons, Hubert Lee McCoy, Chad Russell Wagoner, Tony Hess, Jamie and Bo Steven Perricllia; two granddaughters, Lindsey Montana Rife and Rebba Perricllia; six brothers, Pete and Roger both of Rock, Jay of Willowton, Otis of Stringtown, Bobby of Bartley, and Bill of Jolo; seven sisters, Daisy Payne, Lula Waddell, Pinkie Hale, Linda Hess and husband Sam all of Jolo, Bertha Rowe of Avondale, Ruby Hale of Atwell, and Julie Akers of Summerton, S.C.; mother-in-law, Hazel O. Neal Thomas; and a host of nieces and nephews.
It was Virgil's request to be cremated. A gathering of family and friends for a time of remembrance and fellowship will be held at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Family and friends will then proceed to the home of Virgil and Donna where services will be conducted by Pastor Jim Mullins.
