Otis Edward Hagerman, 81, of Bradshaw, WV, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at the Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands, VA, following a long illness.
Otis was born March 10, 1935, in Paynesville, WV, a son of the late John Richard Hagerman (1908-1961) and Hettie Mae Vance-Hagerman (1912-1937). He was a retired coal miner.
In addition to his parents Otis was preceded in death by four sons, Ricky Hagerman (Deceased), Alvie Justice (Deceased), John Hagerman (Deceased) and Tony Hagerman (Deceased); one daughter, Rhonda Hagerman-Endicott (Deceased); five brothers, Carl Ellis "Joe" Hagerman (1948-1948), William "Bill" Hassell Hagerman (1936-2016), Virgil Lee Hagerman (1942-2012), and James Newt Hagerman (Deceased); and two sisters, Pinkie June Hagerman-Hale (1949-2012) and Rosabelle Hagerman (1944-1944).
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Irene Stiltner-Hagerman of the home; six daughters, Rita Gaye Hagerman-Ferrell and husband Edward Ferrell of Billings, MT, Brenda Gail Hagerman-Sparks and husband Roger Sparks of Bradshaw, WV, Karen Lynn Hagerman-Frasure and husband Dean Frasure of Lincolnton, NC, Tonya Sabrina Hagerman-Casey and husband Charles Casey of Bandy, VA, Crystal Gayle Hagerman of Slate Creek, VA, and Brianna Cierra Hagerman-Riffe of Bradshaw, WV; two sons, Thomas Hagerman and wife Ruth Hagerman of Avondale, WV and Adam Ray Hagerman of Bradshaw, WV; six sisters, Fannie Louvicy "Lula" Hagerman-Waddell (1929-2018) of Jolo WV, Julia Hagerman-Akers of SC, Daisy Hagerman-Payne of Paynesville WV, Bertie Hagerman-Rowe of Beartown, WV, Linda Hagerman Hess & husband Sammy Hess of Paynesville WV, and Ruby Hagerman-Hale of Atwell WV; four brothers, Roger Hagerman of Matoaka, WV, Bobby Hagerman of Bartley, WV, Pete Hagerman of Matoka, WV, and Herman "Jay" Hagerman (1958-2018) of Oakvale, WV; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 16, 2016 at 12:00 with Reverend Roger Pete Woods and Reverend Charles Reed officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV. Burial will follow in the Josie Imes Cemetery on Perry Vance Road at Paynesville, WV.
