Frances Ellen Westwood, 83, of Rochester was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away at 1:40 AM, Thursday, January 30th, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

Not long after the Depression, on May 8, 1930, Frances was born in St. Joseph County, a cherished daughter of Theodore and Mattie (Stubbs )Barth. Growing up she shared her childhood with a sister Sandy Schaut of Mishawaka, Indiana.

On August 15, 1948 in Akron, Frances and Carl T. Westwood were married. Their union of over 36 years produced a daughter Evelyn and a son Edward. Working outside the home Frances was a health care provider for Hickory Creek. She was also a waitress and cook at a local café. To relax she enjoyed flower gardening. Catching the breeze cruising on their Harley Hog, Carl and Frances enjoyed many road trips over the years. They were proud owners of the 1200 model 1950 Black Harley - Davidson and a 1963 blue and white HD.
