Olive L. Adams, 87, of Polk RD 1, died at 12:15 pm Monday in Franklin Hospital where she'd been since Dec. 9. She was born in Polk Aug. 9, 1888, daughter of Marshall and Ida May Williams Adams.
She attended schools in Polk and spent most of her life in that area. She worked at Polk State School for 53 years, retiring in 1957.
Surviving are two brothers, Clarence J. Adams of Franklin, and Lester E. Adams Sr. of Polk; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are four sisters and two brothers.
Services will be at 1:30 pm Thursday Huff Chapel with Rev. Margaret Dunlap, pastor of Polk United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Sandy Cemetery.
